More Burmese refugees flee to Thailand

Ethnic Burmese refugees are still fleeing to nearby Thailand and as we see, there is no stopping for this junta-led Burma in scaring its own people to run to neighboring countries.

Saw Yan Naing on Irrawaddy News reports:

More than 700 ethnic Karen villagers in Pa-and District in Karen State in eastern Burma have fled to Thailand in fear of more clashes between Karen troops and breakaway Karen armed groups and the Burmese army, according to Karen sources.

And while this happens, attacks on the rebel army Karen National Liberation Army continues in this story by Lawi Weng also on Irrawaddy News. The Burmese junta, State Peace and Democratic Council ( SPDC) is as skillful maintaining its highly criticized and paranoid methods in protecting its interests, like pitting Karens against the Karens.

The Burmese army and the ceasefire Democratic Karen Buddhist Army (DKBA) are shelling the main base of Brigade 7 of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) with long-distance mortars, according to Karen sources.
